About the Kit – Milk crates provide interior storage area on the deck of the kayak, canoe, or paddleboard. It is a simple solution to an ever-persistent problem in a sport plagued by a lack of storage space. The YakGear Black Milk Crate come with the YakGear logo in standard 13″ x 13″ milk crate size fitting most kayak tank wells or decks. Having milk crates for sale also prevents kayak anglers from being forced to steal beverage distributors crates from stores or shell out major cash on a glorified milk crate storage system. The crates are honeycomb design to allow customization with all YakGear crate rigging accessories, including the BuildACrate Series of accessories. In addition, this kit comes with 1 x BuildACrate Double Rod Holder, 1 x YakGear Accessory Pouch, 1 x 3.3 Pound Grapnel Anchor Kit, 1 x YakGear Anchor Cleat, and 2 x Utility Leashes for paddles and fishing poles.

About the Accessory Pouch – The YakGear Accessory Pouch is an easily installed storage pouch that allows storage, protection, and organization for paddling and fishing accessories while on the water. The storage pouch is designed to secure tackle trays, extra line, pliers, fish grips and other accessories while keeping them organized at the same time. The 7-inch tall x 12-inch wide gear storage pouch will hold up to a 9-inch x 11-inch tackle boxes and other accessories up to 11 inches in width or 9 inches in height. The adjustable top elastic strap combined with the side elastic web strap provide the flexibility necessary to accommodate accessories of varying sizes while maintaining a snug grasp. This gear storage pouch can be mounted anywhere that it is needed, including on a milk crate, the side of a cooler or on the inside gunwales of your kayak or canoe, for needed extra storage. The Accessory Pouch comes complete with stainless steel installation hardware, installation instructions, and rigging tips from YakGear.

About the Build A Crate Double Rod Holder – Rig the exterior of your preferred storage area with the YakGear BuildACrate Kits to fully maximize all storage possibilities.  The double BuildACrate Kit provides any paddler with a rod or anchor holder that easily attaches to any storage container with inside access.  On top of offering two rod or anchor holders, the double kits offer additional storage slots for pliers, knives, and lures on the mounting brackets.  This allows the paddler to efficiently take advantage of storage space, in a sport where extra gear is at a premium and free space is hard to find. All rod holders are 12 inches long and feature trigger cutouts to properly rest and secure reels.  As always, this complete kit comes with all stainless steel installation hardware, installation instructions, and rigging tips from YakGear.  Waterproof silicone recommended but not included.

About the Anchor Kit – Anchor your kayak, canoe, or small boat worry free with the YakGear 3.3lb (1.5kg) Grapnel Anchor Kit. This 3.3lb (1.5 kg) galvanized steel anchor features four 6-inch tines that fold out of the way while stored for space maximization and release when ready for use. The heavy head design of the anchor creates less wait time until the anchor is fully submerged into the anchoring surface on deeper and faster moving water. “Rock Rig” and “Add a Rope” capabilities are included in the complete kit, along with 30 feet of 3/16 inch black nylon anchor rope and a blue storage ditty bag.

About the Anchor Cleat – The YakGear Anchor Cleat Kit comes with a 4-inch nylon anchor cleat for kayaks, canoes, and small boats.  The anchor cleat provides a stable access point to secure anchors, drift chutes, bow lines, and safety lines. As always, this complete kit comes with all stainless steel installation hardware, installation instructions, and rigging tips from YakGear. Waterproof silicone recommended, but not included.

About the Leashes – The YakGear Platinum Series Offshore Rod Leash is a lightweight rod/paddle utility leash styled off of the New Zealand paddle/fishing rod leash.  As avid offshore kayak anglers, the Kiwis need a leash that is lightweight and features a quick connect system of leash management.  Through a quick connect carabiner around a lightweight wrap and closure, the leash allows any kayak angler to stow or release the rod.  The leash system is built off a series of extension loops that can stay permanently mounted to your rod while the leash is not in use.
